Guide for Donors

If you wish to support the HKU Archives with a financial gift  for the Archives and Records Management (ARM) programs, preservation work,  internships, exhibitions, or special projects,  please contact the Director Mrs. Stacy Belcher Lee at sblee@hku.hk or telephone her  at 852-2859-7953. She will be happy to discuss the arrangements for such a gift.

If you wish to donate a collection or personal materials to the University Archives then you may consult the Collections Policy on these pages to help give you an idea of what we collect. Please contact us directly through our contacts page or email us directly at hkua@hku.hk - we enjoy hearing from alumni, faculty and friends.

If your materials relate to the University of Hong Kong then they fall under the scope of our collections policy and we will be happy to discuss them with you. Please contact us and set up an appointment to speak with one of our Archivists.

We are especially interested in student life and documents and artifacts that help to tell the story of our students. We are also particularly interested in materials that predate 1990. If you have photos, documents, memorabilia, diaries, examples of schoolwork, recordings of events or social gatherings we would like to add more of these to the collections.

If your materials relate more to Hong Kong history than to the history of HKU then we ask you to please contact Ms. Iris Chan, the Special Collections Librarian at HKU. She will be able to tell you whether or not your collection would be a suitable addition to the Hong Kong (Hung On To) Collections of the Library which document the history of the community of Hong Kong.
